From Tarpon Springs, FL to Greece, it's a total of 5,721 miles. That's 220 marathons. Or driving I4, 43 times. OR, riding Space Mountain 9,451 times! That's a lot of ducking hoping to not whack your head on the track that's right above you. Point is, there's some distance between Greece and Tarpon Springs. But why do I bring this up? Well, because in the early 1900s, a large amount of Greeks emigrated from their homeland to Tarpon Springs. Why is this? I honestly fo...

Only three hours northwest of Orlando is a little coastal town called Steinhatchee.  Steinhatchee Conservation Area is home to the widest waterfall in all of Florida!  After a long car ride of podcasts and 70s music history, we pulled into a grass parking area with a dust covered trail map.  We each grabbed a bottle of water and set out into the Florida woods on a trail that had been long forgotten by the local adventurers.  Thankfully we left Bongo at home because...

So! You've read about our heroic escape from the Mackinac Island Maniac in Part 1! I still can't believe we used all that fudge to get the Maniac to fall into our trap! I will say though, making LeeAnna and I Island Heroes of the year and creating that plaque for us is still something I'm going to put on my resume.

But you've heard about that story, THIS part will be about our other adventures! Nothing too long, but just some other fun things that are worth mentioni...

The Upper Peninsula. The UP. The 51st state (this has come up on the Michigan ballot more than once: citizens of the UP want to make their peninsula the 51st state of the union, but has obviously not been passed). It's home to clear waters, towering pine trees, plenty of pasties (the kind you eat) and the gateway to up north. However, on our trip to Mackinac, we only spent a little time in the UP as we crossed the Mackinac Bridge and then went back to the other side...
